Suggest The Ideal Dosage For Flagyl
I had a D&C and to prevent infection the doctor put me on flagyl 1 pill 3 times daily and doxycycline 1 pill 2 times daily both for 7 days however i later received a call where she said she forgot to give me the prescription to which i responded no you did not and told her the dosages. She then said oh...well its supposed to be for 10 days not 7...my question is...is this dosage correct for antibiotics even though i took the same ones a little over a year ago?

Hi,
It is advisable to take Metronidazole 500mg twice daily for 5 days and Doxycycline should be 100mg orally 1 hour before the procedure of D&C and 200mg orally after procedure of D&C.
