increase in the level of
liver enzymes(AST,ALT) reflect an
INJURY to the Liver. medically, the condition is know as "Hepatitis". it maybe caused by:
1. Virus (A, B, C, D, E)
2. Alcohol 3. drug induced (medication)
4.
Gall bladder or common bile duct pathology
5."Fat excess"
further evaluation needed
do following test:
1. Viral serology ( hepA, B and C) anti HAV, HBsAg, anti-HBV, anti HCV
2. lipid profile
3.
ultrasound abdomen
HepA virus is a common cause and self limited disease.
You may visit hepatologist and after receiving results of aforementioned tests as soon as possible.
