Suggest Therapy For Alcohol Addiction

I was wondering if my drink got spiked because on friday night i went out and i only had about 3/4 small glasses of wine, and two vodkas and cokes, i know this quite alot but i can handle a lot more and i dont belive that much alcohol would make you behave as i did. i wanted to kill myself, i hit my friend and called he rterible names, i even smashed my head on a lampost purposely, told ploice to go away, and i dont remember anything. My drink tasted very wierd, and i wanted to know can i find out i got spiked?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi.

I had gone through your query.

Sudden cessation of alcohol after heavy consumption can lead to psychological and physical withdrawal symptoms.

It can be treated step by step. like,

1. detoxification by using agonist therapy.
2.Treatment of withdrawal symptoms.
3.treatment of medical complications and nutritional deficiency.
4.Motivational counseling.
5.rehabilitation and maintenance of total abstinence.

All can help and only possible in indoor treatment.
So consult psychiatrist or De addiction center for better treatment.

I hope i have answered your query.

Thank you.
