Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi! I was on 30 mg of Vyvanse and about six months ago I decided to self medicate-taking up to 130-140 mg. I am having my fiancee hold on to my pills and just started taking 30 mg the last two days but my head is pounding. Do you have a suggestion as to how I can get down to my original dosage?
Maximum effective dose of vyvanse is 70 to 80 mg per day. If you were taking, 130 mg a day, then you can not decrease it immediately. Do it gradually by 10mg to 20 mg per week. That way, you would not get any withdrawal symptoms. In case, you feel any problem, you can consult your psychiatrist. If you need further help, you can ask.
Thanks
