General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history about a 54 year old woman having blood in ear, consulted at walk-in clinic and referred to an ENT Surgeon but can not meed as there is holiday.
The basic question is to find the cause and this can be seen only after endoscopy of ear after cleaning or suctioning.
Hence you have to consult the Specialist.
Well till then my advise to such patients is as follows:
Do not do anything with ear.
No self cleaning.
No ear drops of any sort.
Take the medicines given by a Doctor in your walk in clinic till then.
Take rest.
Avoid extreme temperature changes.
Do not blow the nose.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
