Hi, i have recurring chalazions, and was prescribed doxycyline 100mg a day, but the chalazions keep coming back. Now i have a stye forming as well. I have done the warm compresses 20 minutes 5 times a day and the stye is coming to a head but the chalazions aren t responding at all. I had one chalazion cut out a few months ago (twice in same spot) they did a biopsy and no cancer-- but then a month later it came back! What can i do- besides the lid wipes and hot compresses which is very difficult to do every day for the rest of my life-- and it doesn t seem to help. Someone suggested taking Augmentin for 7 days- my doctor is out of town right now, so what do you think i should do in general and if i should take augmentin with the docycyline.
