Suggest Treatment For ADD

Id like to find out if I have ADD or anything along those lines. For as long as I can remember Ive had issues maintaining my attention on tasks either simple or difficult be it house work, school work, or even my personal past times such as drawing or playing instruments. There is often times where I will get very distracted throughout the day by almost anything. My mind wanders to things that can have basically nothing to trigger the thought. I often lose control of my filter without even knowing and will blurt out statements nothing to do with the conversation im holding with someone. Thank you in advance.

I can understand your concern. The symptoms you have mentioned like poor attention, difficulty to remember things, difficulty in finishing tasks at work, school or home, distractibility, wandering mind etc could occur in ADD. For a proper diagnosis of ADD psychiatric evaluation is needed. Visit a psychiatrist for evaluation. ADD can even occur in adolescent age also so this needs evaluation.

Medicines like stimulants like Amphetamines like methylphenidate or other drugs like Atomoxetine etc are used in ADD. These medicine help to improve focus and improve the symptoms. Visit a psychiatrist for prescription.
