Hi I m a concerned parent. My son is 8 yrs. old in 3rd grade. We ve gone to 3 conferences with his teacher. In 2nd grade no issues. 3rd grade, same teacher things changed. His focus is just not there. The teacher would lecture. She would then pass the work to the students. My son tries to do the problems, then walks up to teacher for help. When he does ask for help, he s really down on himself. He also looks scared when the teacher or myself asks questions. Is this normal. His work is good, but his focus is not there. He sits quietly, but drifts out. My teacher also mentioned he may have a slight ADHD. Not hyper, but no focus. Also at home, he follows through with routine. He puts back pack by door. Starts his homework. Then plays. Then dinner. Then shower and brush teeth. Then bed time. I would like to handle this now because he will be going to 4th grade next year. Thank you, a concerned parent
