Hi.
Thanks for the query..

As per your complain Bell's Palsy occurs due to either infection or trauma to the Seventh Cranial Nerve which supplies the muscles of face and the inflammation of the nerve due to any of these reasons can lead to disturbance in the nerve function and cause paralysis..
First of all knowing the cause of the paralysis that whether it is due to infection caused by virus or physical trauma is to be known..
In case of trauma the injury can be temporary or permanent and it mostly recovers by itself and no treatment can be done as nerve injury takes its own time to recover but if the nerve s completely damaged the symptoms will not reverse..

In case of infection antiviral therapy like Acyclovir, Pancyclovir etc can be given to patient ..

In both cases a Steroid Therapy like PREDNISOLONE can help but it is more effective if given by the third or fourth day of the occurrence of symptoms..
Facial exercises and physiotherapy can help in strengthening the weakened muscles and provide relief..
In case if there is difficulty in closing the eye use an eye mask to cover the eye especially during sleeping..
Maintain a good oral hygiene as food may get stuffed over the paralyzed side due to reduced movement and numbness will also reduced your efficiency to gauge that food is present in that area..
You should consult a NEUROPHYSICIAN and get evaluated and CT SCAN or MRI can help in evaluating the exact status of the nerve..
At times in patients that do not resolve by medication certain surgical procedures like SMILE RECONSTRUCTION can be done..

Hope this helps..

Thanks and regards..
