All my previous symptoms have returned, and GP seems hell bent, on my returning to previous ill-health with Bronchiectasis........Why?

Hello
Bronchiectasis
-Defined as localized irreversible dilatation of bronchi
-Condition results in airflow obstruction & impaired clearance of secretions.
Typical symptoms
-Classic symptoms of bronchiectasis are cough w/chronic sputum production;along recurrent infective exacerbations & hemoptysis .
Mild
Rattly cough producing sputum after colds only
sputum production Change of position may cause sputum production
May cause mild hemoptysis
Well patient
Moderate
Constant rattly cough
Sputum production of 10-150 ml/ day
Sputum production most of the time
Occasional heoptysis
May have foul smelling breath
Usually well patient
Severe
Production of large volume of sputum
Sputum production > 150 ml/day
Usually unwell patient
May develop resp failure
As I mentioned all these so that you can understand your position better.
You are sometimes using ventolin inhaler as well as Amoxy-clavulanic acid .
But now using prednisolone and providing good relief.
For long term use this is dangerous for you ( prednisolone)
When such patient visit I advise them to take levofloxacin 750 mg / day orally with pantaloc-D .
Also take ambroxol, bromhexine , carbocysteine as these are mucolytics
Also take anti oxidant as ACETYL CESTINE
Bronchial cleanser
CYCLIDROL
Since all these are prescription drug so consult your treating physician and get his opinion.
