Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 43 year old male. Saturday had second attact of gout (swollen left big toe. Went to doctor yesterday- said it was gout blood pressure was 139/90 (high). gave me pain killers- told to drink lots of water & come back two weeks for possible blood check... although yesterday gout was spikey painful just around joint, today I have other symtoms Im very worried about. work today and during afternoon my whole right foot started to swell quite a lot. Upon returning home I have also started to feel light headed with a pressure head (no headache but my head feels pressed .. I put an ice pack on my foot but it is still very swollen. I would like to ask whether these secondary symtoms are classic gout and nothing to worry about or whether there could be a more serious underlying problem??
