Suggest Treatment For Grave S Disease

Hello - I have recently moved to SLC from Omaha Ne & Knoxville TN. I had my thyroid ablated about 10 years ago due to severe hyperthyroid - Graves disease. I am out of medication for about the past 45 days. I need to see an endocrinologist to get my health back in order. Right now I am highly dysfunctional, functional person. I traveled extensively, and consistently ran out of last prescribed medication. Now my GP in Knoxville TN will not refill my medicines. I must see a physician to get back on a regiment to improve my physical issues. What must I do to set up an appoint at Redriver asap? YYYY@YYYY

Oncologist 's  Response
Hi,

Treatments for Graves' disease include radioactive iodine, antithyroid drugs such as methimazole (Tapazole) and propylthiouracil (PTU), and beta blockers; in some patients, surgery is done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Monish De, Oncologist
