Suggest Treatment For Hashimoto S Disease

My 11 year old daughter has a test result for thyroid microsomal antibody of 1300.0. the rest of her thyroid levels seem close to normal but she has been diagnosed with hashimotos. I do not want to begin wpthyroid, but would like to get her thyroid to work repairing on it s own, could iodine through kelp or other natural substance be a better way to go?
