Suggest Treatment For Hay-Wells

My 5 year old grandaughter was recently diagnosed with Hay-Wells. She doesn't have all the symptoms, and genetic testing is going to be done. She is seeing a specialist now and he wants to wait a few years before he stretches her scalp and removed the 2 areas on her head. Is there any other treatment out there? Thank you
