Suggest Treatment For Hypothyroidism
HI,I am a 30yr old femle. I have been recently diagnosed for Hypothyroidism, i have been prescribed Thyronom 25 mcg daily, post my test reports for ANTI-BODIES, I have been prescribed for 6 days medicine : Allerfix total and Erinac-SR, please guide me what are the tablets for. I am having redular menses and have been facing swelling of hand veins since few months, at times i have issues with the hands such as i am unable to have grip in the hand, but since the time i am consuming thyronom, the symptons have been very less. I have had tests for RA factor and S.uric acid both are WNL. please advise.

I have read your question fully and understand your concerns.
Erinac SR has the drug Aceclofenac in it. It is an anti-inflammatory medicine; you have been prescribed this as you have been having swelling of your hand and also not able to grip well etc. Anti-inflammatory medicine will help to reduce the swelling. Please take this medicine with food, if taken on empty stomach it can cause gastritis (heart burn, belching etc.) If you feel your symptoms have settled, you can even stop taking medicine.
Alerfix total is an anti-allergic medicine used to help patients complaining of cold/cough/breathlessness etc. Do you have any of these symptoms? I am unsure why you have been prescribed these though.
You are on Thyronorm which is the right treatment for your hypothyroidism. kindly recheck your TSH in 6-8 weeks and discuss it with your doctor. Your doctor can then make the necessary changes to the dose if needed.
