Suggest Treatment For IBS

I wake up every day feeling good with no problems. When I eat, I eat small amounts. As the day goes along it seems like my body holds the food to a point I feel full to my diaphragm. I will pass gas (both ends) my poops can be pencil thin or full blown diarrhea when it finally happens. I have been told IBS but it seems to be getting worse. If I DONT eat I feel great.

Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a disorder that affects the large intestine and commonly causes cramping, abdominal pain, bloating, gas, diarrhea and constipation.
Since it's not clear what causes irritable bowel syndrome, treatment focuses on the relief of symptoms so that you can live as normally as possible. The management of this condition is mostly based on lifestyle modification. The following may help:
-Avoid high-gas foods
-Avoid gluten
-Avoid fermentable oligo-, di-, and monosaccharides and polyols
-Experiment with fiber
-Eat at regular times
-Take care with dairy products
-Drink plenty of liquids(water)
-Exercise regularly
Your Doctor may prescribe medications like Fiber supplements, Anti-diarrheal medications, Anticholinergic and antispasmodic medications, Antidepressant medications, Antibiotics... to manage symptoms.
Medications well indicated for IBS are Alosetron (Lotronex) and Lubiprostone (Amitiza).I will suggest you see a Gastrologist for evaluation and better treatment options.
Hope this will help
Best regards
