Suggest Treatment For OCD While On Lisinopril

I was taking Prozac for about 20 years. I stopped taking it abruptly because my son hid all my Prescription meds from me. He accused me of being a drug addict, although my Primary Care Physician (Internist) said that I was not. I had panic attacks but no longer have them. However, I still suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder. The only other prescription meds I take are Lisinopril 20 mg. 3 times a day for HBP and Diazepan=m 5 mg. two a day. I also take OTC meds such as Multi-Vitamins & Minerals, Areds 2 Formula for Aged Eyes, Probiotic 10 for GI, Senna S and FiberCon for constipation (as directed on bottles), Enteric Coated Aspirin for pain. Can you advise me as to whether I should request my Internal Specialist to give me Prozac again? I will be, Lord willing, 88-yrs.-old on August 2, 2017. Hi,

Yes, Prozac may be needed for certain of psychological disease and it also has a potentials for addiction and abuse. Weather to use or not is not a straight forward question. Because it's use without need may have many hazards while not using it when needed like OCD, anxiety or depression may greatly impair life of a person. So, I personally understand the decision should lie in hands of consultant psychiatrist who would assess you in details weather you have any such disease and whether it needs Prozac or not. So don't be in hurry, talk to the right person that is to the psychiatrist in this regards.
