Suggest Treatment For PCOD

hi, I am a married lady, age 30 years.I have hypothyroidism and taking eltroxin 100 and I have been detected with PCOD since 2years as I have irregular period cycle with prolonged bleeding problem...all these I have since last 2-3 years before that everything was normal...Now Doctor has prescribed me to take Dronis 30 for 3 months.and well women tablets for 6 months.Will it regulate my periodic cycle along with shed my extra weight, facial hairs and hair loss problem?

I understand your concern
PCOS is complex disease and cause hormonal imbalance, ovarian dysfunction, insulin resistance.
Reproductive hormone analysis, ovarian follicle study and USGscan help in the management of the PCOS.
Dronis 30 will help in regularise the period
Well women tablet will help in reducing hair loss.
Other drugs that will help in PCOS
Metformin: for maintain glucose homeostasis and weight, induce ovulation
Spironolactone: diuretic action and also induce ovulation
Topical eflornithine: for facial hair
Clomiphene citrate to induce ovulation and maintain fertility
If not responds to medical treatment surgery like ovarian drilling can be used
Diet: take small frequent meal rather large meal
Avoid fatty/spicy/salty foods
Avoid excessive sweets
Start regular exercise for 45-60 minutes in the morning
