Suggest Treatment For Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome

I am getting discharged from the military because I have PFPS they say there is nothing else they can do. I have gone thru therapy and had shots in my knees. What should I try and do? Is there a surgery that can cure this I have tried everything the military has suggested. I need to do something though please help. Chris
