Suggest Treatment For Sjogren S Syndrome And Stomach Bloating
I have sjogrens disorder and haven t taken medicine for it in about 3 months. Now I am having problems in my stomach with bowel not moving down. Bloating and feeling full all the time. Is this because of not taking med which was basically for dry mouth and eyes?
I can understand your concern. It would have been better if you had mentioned what medicines you are prescribed for dry mouth and eyes. Sometimes these medicines may cause stomach upset and bloating. However, stopping these medication will increase your problems with Sjogren's syndrome.
Thus, I would advise you to use Digene Syrup (Magnesium Hydroxide + Aluminium Hydroxide + Carboxymethycellulose) 10 ml (2 tablespoonfuls) 2-3 times a day, specially after meals and before bedtime to help in digestion. In addition, you can start laxatives to help in better bowel movements.
If you are having too severe problem with stomach or you do feel relief with Digene and laxatives, then you should consult your prescribing doctor to change the molecule of the medicine or adjust doses.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Let me know if you have follow up questions.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
