Suggest Treatment For TMJ

hi i have a question about tmj.
i have very bad tmj and it is constantly causing me to be in pain. My neck is stiff and pain shoot up to my head and ears and have migraines frequently. when dentist diagnosed me with tmj i asked her what i could do or who i could go to to treat it and she told me the only thing i could do was surgery but there is no point because there is only 50/50 chance it will work. well anyways i am trying to find out what kind of doctor or dentist i should go to for pain management because it is affecting my life and my job. i am a manager and it is really hard to run around and keep control of a store when in chronic pain. thanks in advanced
