i am 32 week pregnant, just this week i have started the urge to pee so bad, when i go though i only pee a little and it seems like my bladder is full but no more pee is coming out. theres no pain or anything, just feels like full bladder but not a lot of pee comes out
Your symptoms are very consistent with a bladder infection (UTI). They are very common in pregnant women. Inflammation in your bladder causes spasms that make you feel like you have to urinate even when your bladder is empty.
You need to contact your doctor and they will prescribe you some antibiotics to treat it. Many antibiotics can be safely used in pregnancy, and if a UTI is left untreated it can spread to your kidneys which is much more serious and needs treatment in the hospital.
If you cannot see a doctor right away, I would seek emergency care because your symptoms will not get better until you take the medication. In the meantime, try to drink lots of water and also cranberry juice as it helps to flush your kidneys.
I hope you find this information helpful and feel better soon,
Best wishes, Dr. Brown
