Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My sister has been vomiting for weeks. She is a diabetic. She also has been very week, feels dizzy when she stands up, has shortness of breath, coughs when taking deep breaths. She was admitted to the hospital and they discovered she had a kidney infection and a urinary tract infection. She has also found out in the meantime that she is anemic. She was sent home after a few days of being on antibiotics. She is not any better than when she was admitted to hospital and maybe actually be worse. She was admitted last night to the hospital again. The kidney infection and urinary tract infection is still present. She has no energy. What do you think is going on with her? Thank you.
The symptoms seem to be related to an urinary tract infection. I suggest to do some examinations to evaluate the symptoms. I suggest to do: - A complete blood count. - A urine test - A urine culture I also suggest to check the creatinine and azotemia level to check the kidney function.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
