Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I fell down the stairs on Tuesday morning and landed on my right hip. At first, the pain was so immense I could not get up or move. I was very worried I had broken my hip, but after sitting with an ice pack for maybe 30 minutes, I was able to have help getting up. I can now get around and walk, but I still have trouble doing much at all because moving certain ways makes pain shoot up my hip. There is no bruise, and it hurts to touch it. It seems to get better each day but I don t know if theres something I should be doing to help further heal it or not. Thanks!
I suggest you to use anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen. You should also use cold compresses. The fracture will usually heal itself in a few weeks.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
