Suggest Treatment For A Brown Spot On The Sole Of The Foot

I noticed a dark brown spot underneath the skin of the sole of My toe a couple of weeks ago but not sure if it s been there longer that. Should I be concerned? I doesn t hurt and I don t remember ever hurting the sole of my foot so don t think it s bruising or blood.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a hematoma. Other possibilities like melanoma or moles also be ruled out. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
A biopsy may be needed in case of diagnostic confusion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
