Suggest Treatment For A Bump On Lower Lid After Cataract Surgery

I had cataract surgery 7 weeks ago. I took the usual drops for 4 weeks. Now a stye like bump has appeared on lower lid, with minor irritation. What should I do? My Opthamologist is on vacation but I can go see the Resident at the local eye clinic.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having a bump on the eyelid after cataract surgery which is probably stye.
Stye is a infective condition and since you have undergone cataract surgery recently this requires immediate treatment.
The treatment is by the use of antibiotic eye drops and oral antiinflammatory drugs.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
