Suggest Treatment For A Cut In The Inner Lip

A big blind at work fell and hit my face, causing my tooth to cut the inside of my top lip, and I've tried taking pain mediciation, but at night it hurts too much to sleep well. Is there something I can put on it or place in my mouth to help keep my tooth from hitting the cut all night?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have got traumatic injury to the inside of the lip due to injury with the teeth..
The pain is due to inflammation in the area..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help and if the cut is very deep you might also need to get stitches placed to initiate faster healing..

As of now you can continue taking anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
You can also apply numbing gel containing Lignocaine to relieve pain..
You can also apply antiseptic ointment over the cut and also apply steroid ointment..
Do cool compresses..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
