Suggest Treatment For A Cystic Acne On The Chin

Hi I have just started using micronor 1 week ago and I have come out in cystic acne all over my chin. Is this brand known for causing bad acne? Should I swap to another brand as I m thinking of stopping taking it! If it s like this after a week it will only get worse if I carry on taking it. I have had bad acne problems in the last but this was cleared up by Roaccutane. I don t want to risk having to go back on that again. Please help?

Hi, yes, if u didnot have acne prior to taking micronor, then progestin only contraceptive (POP) is likely the cause. So, if you can change ur contraceptive, i will say, go for it..Just a change of brand maynot be enough.
For the lesions that have already appeared, i will adv you to wash ur face with brevoxyl creamy wash twice daily and apply Deriva CMS gel locally on the lesions at bedtime, the lesions should resolve with this in 15-20 days.
Thanks
Take care
