Suggest Treatment For A Dog Bite

I got a scratch from a stray puppy on April 7th and got the first shot on day 0, I.e. 7th April. I got the second shot on 7th day, I.e. 14th April But I missed 21st day and 28th day shot. The 21st day shot was supposed to be given on 28th April and the 28th day shot was supposed to be given on 5th May. After rememberring, I got one shot on 6th May. Is there a need to get 4th shot? And if yes, when to get the 4th shot? The stray puppy is alive and healthy. I am worried. Please reply as soon as possible.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes four doses are routinely needed after a dog bite at 0, 3, 14, and 28 days. However if the dog is not lost and is alive and healthy, there is no need to worry. We recommend stopping further doses after 10 days (2 doses of vaccine) if dog is not missing and is healthy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
