Suggest Treatment For A Hard Lump On The Leg

I have developed a hard lump on the inside of my leg, just below the knee cap. I run and do weights 6X / week (including squats, lunges, etc. on leg day). It doesn t hurt but now I have a large bruise just below it although I don t recall hitting it. Suggestions?

Thanks for the query to HCM.I studied your problem in depth and I understood your concerns.
Treatment / Cause for hard lump on the leg-In my opinion your lump seems to be synovitis due to the Knee arthritis.
-Avoid heavy work ups -as it may cause more arthitis.
-Consult ER-Surgeon.
-Take Anti-inflammatory tabs / hot fomentation / and rest to the part for 3 wks atleast, which would relieve you.
Besides this being a continuous disease-I would advise ER-Ortho-Surgeon follow-up and treatment for next 6 mths time to get it under control.
and hence needs ER Ortho-Surgeon check up and needful treatment.
If not treated it could increase your leg pains and bruise constantly.
So do check it up from ER Ortho- Surgeon.
For Final Diagnosis and treatment needs clinical data from a Doctor.
and Hence for further treatment I would advise you to Consult ER Ortho-Surgeon , who would treat it accordingly.
This advise is based on the facts from the history you give and needs further clinical check.
Hence I would advise you to check with ER Ortho- Surgeon.
So don't build up wrong concepts and create more psychic complications in you which would increase risks and costs to you.
