Suggest Treatment For A Hip Fractured While On Alendronate

I have been on Alendronate since 2011. I recently fell and caused two fractures in my hip. the doctor recommended Prolia injection but it was denied by insurance. Now we are looking at Reclast. I just looked at the list of side effects and have to wonder if it is worth the extra pain. How long do these symptons remain? Is there any other alternative with fewer severe consequences?
