Suggest Treatment For A Itchy Rash On The Buttock, Arms And Legs

I have developed rash on my skin and I hope it s just dermatitis. It s mostly on my arms. Sometimes it s itchy on my butt, back of thighs, arms, nipples, side of my crotch, and legs. My feet and hands feel tingly and a little itchy every now and then. When I scratch it flares up and goes red.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itchy rash on the buttock, arms and legs which is very common as dirt and moisture get trapped by your clothing and the friction that comes from sitting can cause pimple. It could be due to blockage of sebaceous glands leading to folliculitis or boils. I would suggest you to keep this area clean and dry , apply cream containing azelaic acid , apply cold compresses with soaked towel , take over the counter anti histamine like zyrtec and apply vitamin C serum at night. If condition doesn't get better then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically along with blood test and sample for lab test . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants , antibiotics like clindamycin , anti inflammatory or anti fungal . Doctor may also prescribe corticosteroid ointment . Protect your skin from direct sunlight , applying aloe vera gel can help .
