i have been experiencing a feeling of a lump in my throat- like something is stick and i can t swallow it down, however nothing is there... i looked up this sensation because that s what it is- i ve seen forums calling it silent reflux. i have been experiencing this for a few months, but now it s progressed to a strained/tightened feeling and gurgles will come up my esophagus- like a burp but not a burp at all... all this is very uncomfortable and seems to be getting even more unbearable, it s getting a little frightening, actually... what could this be? (it does get worse if i stress over it...)
Hi, Welcome to healthcare magic. I had gone through your question. I can understand your concern. This could be due to gastric reflux. I recommend the following. 1) Avoid taking tea or coffee before food. 2) Keep regular diet habits and skipping meals. 3) Take dinner at least 3 hour before bedtime. 4) Proton pump inhibitors like tab rabeprazole You will be fine. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help. Wish you a good health and speedy recovery. Regards, Dr Paparaja S MBBS MS Consultant ENT Surgeon
