Hi, I found a lump in my breast in January this year.. Went to my GP, who examined me and referred me on to a breast clinic.. They did a fine needle biopsy, and ultrasound.. Results came back that it was benign, a fibroadenoma.. No reason for treatment.. The issue I m having now is that I notice it seems to have got bigger, and this last week or so is sporadically causing me pain.. Do I need to go and get it checked out again, or is this normal for these kind of lumps?
Hi As per your description, it looks like a Fibroadenoma. As it is increasing in size, it is better to get it removed surgically. It can be done under Local anaesthesia as a Day care surgery. Nothing to worry. Wish you good health. Regards
