Suggest Treatment For A Lump On The Breast

I am 23 years old and have just had a breast referral for a tender lump, pain and size increase in one breast. The breast specialist could not feel a lump (my GP could) and a ultrascan confirmed the breast tissue was normal. However the concern is literally over a few days my breast increased by one cup size and now 7 weeks later it is still enlarged. It has not changed during my menstrual cycles. I am due to see a consultant in 2 months time, but I have no explanation as to why my breast so suddenly has changed size and the dr said to increase so quickly was unheard of. Is there any possible causes which may have caused this and should i dismiss the problem as my ultrascan was clear?

Thank you very much for your time.

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The history suggest an increase in size of the breast in short period of time - possible cause could be infective aetiology as its tender on touch with pain -Abscess.
2.You had scan done and after that you have noticed the enlarged breast - so repeat the scan, that will help to localise the lesion, source and extensions can be assessed.
3.In case of painful breast - an abscess or cyst which are symptomatic needs a small incision and drainage followed by a course of antibiotic treatment.
4.I think you have to prior appointment as it can complicate if left alone. Good luck.

Hope i have answered your query.
