Suggest Treatment For A Lump On The Right Buttock Post Injury
A couple of months ago I had a fall down the stairs. There was heavy bruising and a lump formed. The lump is still there. I have been to two different doctors. One doctor referred me to another dr for a draining and or surgery. I have seen the Dr and he doesnt think there is anything he can do. This area is a big noticeable bump on right butt cheek. It has been more sensitive the last couple of days and is on and off with sensitivity. It is painful to run or do anything with extra force. It is warm to the touch too. Is this something anyone has had experience with? The last dr suggested plastic surgery .....i need some hope
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM A lump after an injury with heavy bruising could most likely be a hypertrophic scar or a keloid. Scarring is a normal healing process. However, the nature of the scar depends on your tissue response to healing and the site of the injury.Your description and how the lump originated suggest a problem linked with scarring and less likely to be an infection.Scar at times whether hypertrophic scar or keloid may be painful.Depending on the nature, plastic surgery may be a treatment option.I will suggest you go for it and remain optimistic. Hope this will help Regards
