Hello and welcome to HCM,
There is possibility that your 20 month old daughter has aspirated some of the kerosene since swallowing reflex is not very well developed in infants and toddlers.
Aspiration of kerosene can lead to inflammation in the lung and cause pnemonitis.
You need to stay in touch with your pediatrician for treatment of the lung infection.

Thanks and take care
