Suggest Treatment For A Lung Mass Appearing On The Ct Scan

have a 2.5 right lung mass found by a x-ray-had a ct scan, and now a pet scan-dr called today stating there is contrasting results and a now need a mri- I thought tht the pet scan was 99 percent accurate and would be the final test- before having a biopsy of the mass- dr stated that their is some calcium in the mass found from the ct scan- do have to worry at this point? what does the contrasting results mean from the pet scan?

Positron emission tomography ( PET scan ) , you are right that virtually this is a final report and in my ( personal experience ) opinion for this mass inn lung you should get a biopsy as this is very important to rule out any cancer or I like to say find out the exact nature of this mass ( what type of this mass e.g. benign , malignant , secondaries ) .
M R I will not yield any thing else .
So get in surgery for biopsy.
