Suggest Treatment For A Missed Period Despite Taking Susten

Hello..I'm trying to convince frm past 6 months n I 've been in treatment frm last month doc has suggested me to take fertisure f frm my second of periods n my last mense was 15/2/17 n I ovulated on 1/3/17 n frm tat day she suggested me for susten 200 for nxt 15 days bt some time il b having a cramps n feeling lik il b getting period on anytime is tis normal by curious I did home pregnancy test on 13/3/17 it should negative m slightly disappointed so after stopping susten will I get my periods m really really worried please tel me

Hello,

Please fully trust in your treating doctor. You are suggested right line of treatment. Tablet Susten is Progesterone hormone that helps support early pregnancy.

I will suggest you to wait for 18 days after ovulation to get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy.

Secondly, for my patients who are planning to get pregnant I suggest following:
1. Post menstrual HSG done-Hysterosalpingography to know about the patency of Fallopian tubes.
2. USG to know about the structural normalcy of the uterus and ovaries.
3. Partner's semen analysis to know about quality and quantity of sperms.
4. You can opt for IUI- Intrauterine insemination on the day of ovulation or opt for unprotected sexual activity on and around the day of ovulation.
5. Please start on Folic acid and vitamin B12 supplements regularly.
6. This helps to prevent various complications during conception, pregnancy and childbirth.
