Suggest Treatment For A Missed Period Despite Taking Susten

My period date was last time August 20..till now I didn t get my period and am having susten300 Tablet for about a week and I have symptoms like vomiting back pain drowsy often urinating..and I took pregnancy test on 40th day it S negative. Weather I will be pregnant or not or else I wl get my periods.. am totally confused

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If you unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, there is possibility of pregnancy. After stopping the Susten tablets only you can get the withdrawal bleeding during the period of intake of tablets you can't get the bleeding due to the maintenance of progesterone levels.
Nausea, abdominal discomfort extra symptoms can be seen as side effects of susten also, sometimes premenstrual symptoms may also present like this.
If you want to be sure please go for blood test for pregnancy which can give more accurate result than the Urine Pregnancy Test if the beta HCG levels in blood test is less than 5 Milli International units per ml the possibility of pregnancy is almost ruled out.Ultrasound also helps in ruling out the possibility of pregnancy and also in finding any other possibility for delayed periods.
