Suggest Treatment For A Painful Bruise On The Foot Of A Child

My 3 yr old has large bruise on Side of foot.Arch area .Sometimes he says it hurts sometimes it doesn t bother he can t say what happened .So I m wondering if I should take to ER for Xray.If its something serious.I want it addressed if its not better to be safe then sorry!

It is often difficult to establish a diagnosis in small children, given their age. If the injury is causing your son to limp then I would advise you get him checked out and have an XRay to make sure he has not broken any bones. At least then you know where you stand with the severity of the injury.
