Suggest Treatment For A Painful Lump On The Finger
My right index finger was hit with a hockey stick during the game four weeks ago. My finger has a raised lump on the bone and I was wondering if I should be concerned. If pressure is applied to this raised area it does hurt like the area is still bruised.
Hi,Dear, Thanks for the query to HCM.I studied your problem in depth and I understood your concerns. Treatment for the painful lump on the finger-In my opinion you should not be concerned much as it would resolve on its own with the time , but should investigate it with your ER Ortho-Surgeon,who would treat it according to its cause. From your facts of the query-In my opinion-this lump seems to be due to the post-traumatic tissue damage of the boney joints of the right index finger. So take treatment from your ER Ortho-Surgeon, who would treat it after due investigations and treat it accordingly. This advise is based on the facts from the history you give and needs further clinical check. Hence I would advise you to check with ER Ortho- Surgeon. So don't build up wrong concepts and create more psychic complications in you which would increase risks and costs to you. Hope this would relieve your problem. Welcome for any more query in this regard to HCM. Write good resume and Click thanks if you feel satisfied with my advise. Have a Good Day. Dr.Savaskar M.N.
