Suggest Treatment For A Painful Lump On The Groin Area

I was at work the other day building a deck and I stepped on a board that wasnt nailed down and it slid sideways and so did my leg. I had a lump on my inner thigh by my groin Its very painful. The next day I have this massive bruse from above my groin down to my knee. What can this possible be?

If the board struck the leg or there was indirect trauma, it is possible that the bruising may be due to damage to the small underlying blood vessels in the area.
This is called a contusion.

The discoloration would change color as the blood breaks down and the area heals.

It takes a few days to 2 weeks for resolution to occur.
