Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful lump on the tricep. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like neurofibromatosis , rheumatic fever , ganglion , folicullitis and localize infection. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor will check physically with tenderness and consistency . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory . Doctor may also recommend surgical excision . For now apply warm compresses and keep the area clean and dry .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
