Suggest Treatment For A Painful Lump On Thigh After A Dog Bite

I was bit by a Pitbull lastMonday on the inner side of the inner part of my thigh midway up...it immediately swelled up like half of a tennis ball. Went to the emergency room and had a tetanus shot... They also gave me extremely powerful antibiotics. It started bruising really bad And grew four times regular size..... They tell me to put ice the first day and heat the rest for all the blood up under the skin... It s starting to change colors and I guess the blood is starting to go away but now I have a very hard lump near were the two teeth marks where and it is hard and it hurts and it is about the size of half of a golf ball. So I am worried something is wrong

Hi.

Do not worry. It is just a collection of blood under your skin that will go away by time, you can also apply Reparil gel to it.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
