Suggest Treatment For A Pimple On The Perineum

I ve had a large pimple (half size of golf ball) under my skin on my perenium. It s between my testicles and anus. Had this about 5 years ago and it hurt to sit and finally burst. Didn t heal until about 6 months ago and now I think it s back. Every time I would squat down, it would bleed. How do I get it To go away? Anything to do at home or isn t all surgery?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to folliculitis.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.

In case of fever, you may require antibiotics after physician consultation.

You can apply neosporin powder over it locally.

Maintain proper hygiene.

Use loose cotton clothes.

Avoid sweating, hot and humid environment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam Kale
