Suggest Treatment For A Polyp In The Uterus

I completed a two week detox and wound up having my period for 20 days. My Doc did an ultrasound and found a polyp in my utereus. Do I need to get an D and C or can I heal this on my own? My insurance expires this month and so I need to decide to do the D and C now.
