Suggest Treatment For A Problem In The Spine

I have a question about finding my nephew some help with his spine. His spine is a stong s shape to the point of helping in his lung collapsing a few years ago. The only Dr. he sees is one that will give him LOTS of pain meds thats all he can afford he has NO insurance. Can you please tell me if there is ANY help out there for him, he is only 30 yrs old just lost his wife to cancer has 2 kids now to raise alone and has to do lots of pain pills just to get through the day and now its working less and less and his back is getting worse and worse.
