I have this deep purple, bruise look alike on the side of my foot, it started of as a small patch which made me think it was a bruise but I just cant remember how I got it, but this thing is keep getting bigger and bigger and turning a more deeper purple, which then made me think again and came to realize that its not a bruise, it doesn t hurt much when I touch it either, like not as a bruise should feel, what is this and what do I do?
I have read your query and can well understand your concern.
A spontaneous bluish discoloration on the foot may be due to ecchymosis which can be spontaneous and due to causes other than trauma, eg, certain drugs, bleeding disorders, topical steroids usage may lead to it.
Topical heparin containing preparations can be applied over it for faster resolution.
Hope this helps!
