Suggest Treatment For A Purple Lesion On The Scrotum

Dear doctor, I have angiokeratomas of fordyce, aside from scrotum, at the base of penis, near the scrotum. I always have protected insertive, vaginal only intercourse. Most of the time during intercourse these angiokeratomas at the base of the penis are covered by the condom but not all the time due to the fact that condoms tend to move a little bit.. I have never seen them bleeding after intercourse. Is there a possibility of HIV transmission? I usually do not insert that much in the vagina due to this fact and generally I am very cautious. Thank you in advance

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to angiokeratomas.

It's usually an asymptomatic condition. There is no need for active management.

Use scrotal support. In case of bleeding, you may require surgical intervention like laser therapy after surgeon consultation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
